“It was never truly about love, although guised in its cloak, Cannibal deals with a deeply rooted discourse that young ethnic males face in the contemporary urban sprawl, a sort of pre-programmed self-hatred, self-imposed slavery….as a result, liberation transformed itself into violent negotiations between darkness and rhythm. The struggle ceased to exist, and in its place symbols and iconography delivered pathways to different states of extremely mythic physical transgressions”
