When I was a kid, we used to have family dinners with my parents friends and usually we’d set up some sort of karaoke…TV, wireless mics, a selection of melodramatic chinese and hong kong pop ballads…coupled with a healthy amount of alcohol. We’d turn off the lights and let the disco balls fill the room with ecstasy. The mics were dripping with way too much reverb and delay and the TV volume was cranked up too high for the speakers to handle…we’d sing until the restaurant had to close down///it was utterly beautiful.
This is that moment revisited.
